Divination is a fascinating field, but let's be realāit can also be incredibly daunting. The intricacies of tarot, astrology, and rune casting could fill entire libraries. When I first started, I felt like I was drowning in a sea of symbols, moon phases, and ethereal wisdom.
I mean, seriously: how are you supposed to get a straight answer if you first have to learn an entire tarot deck?
But here's the thing: divination doesn't have to be complicated. Today, I want to share with you the three simplest forms of divination that eased my way into this mystical realm. Trust me, these methods are both beginner-friendly and remarkably insightful. When you need a quick and clear answer, these methods are a good starting place.
Bibliomancy: Yes, it sounds like a fancy term, but it's as simple as flipping open a book. Any book with text worksājust focus on a question, flip to a random page, and let your finger land on a sentence. Take it as you will, but I've had some eerily accurate answers using this method. Check out this post to learn more about the specifics (though it's really pretty simple).
Shufflemancy: Playlist aficionados, rejoice! Shufflemancy is divination via your music library. Set an intention or ask a question, hit shuffle, and listen to the first song that comes on. Lyrics, mood, or even just the song title can give you clues. This is one of my favorite methods because you get to use your own hand-selected music, so you'll probably understand the answer much more easily.
Pendulum Divination: No, you don't need a fancy crystal pendulumāthough they are pretty cool. A simple weighted object on a string can work, like a necklace. Hold it steady, ask your question, and observe the direction it swings. It's a straightforward way to get yes or no answers and perfect for indecisive moments. If you want to dive a bit deeper into pendulum divination then you can work with more complicated questions and charts, too.

This big solar eclipse in Libra is happening this Saturday (October 14th), and I'm going to be totally honest with you: an eclipse is a terrible time to do magic. Why's that? For starters, the energy during an eclipse is wildly unpredictable. You might find yourself amidst unexpected changes, making it difficult to find stable footing, let alone cast a spell with precision. And even if you're able to pull off a spell, the results can be... surprising. Believe me, Iāve cast a spell during an...
