harvest herbalism this fall

With the conclusion of the harvest, I have tons of dried herbs to use and I'm doing a refresher herbalism course. Sometimes, it's so nice to work magically in a tangible sense, with plants and herbs.

Some of my favorite herbs right now include Mullein, Elderberry, Echinacea, and Rosemary. I've been making tinctures, warm infusions, cold infusions, and of course, lots of tea! I grew and foraged most of these herbs right in my garden, but I'm also setting up an Aerogarden for the winter. You can never have too many herbs!

If you buy dried herbs online, I recommend using glass jars to store them. Not only do the herbs stay fresh but the energy is just much better.

I'm also loving this Herbal Materia Medica course. It's a deep-level study course that's helping me put together my own extensive encyclopedia of herbs.

For my home, I've been making these free simmer pot recipes with scraps from my kitchen. My home smells delicious - I can't recommend them enough.

Happy harvesting!

Happy Spring! As the last frost retreats and the sun lingers a bit longer each day, I've been bustling around in my garden, preparing my little sanctuary of herbs.
