Harvest Rituals For September
Hi friends! These past few weeks I've been cleaning out my house and clearing it with lots of herbs to prepare for my fall rituals. I actually have a full calendar going with a different ritual scheduled for every day in October. Can you tell I love fall?
Many witches feel like fall is a special time. When nature dies back to prepare for hibernation, we get ready to retreat and do our own inner work. This is the season when the underworld is most accessible, whether you take that literally or metaphorically. It's also a great time to connect with your ancestral magic.
Some of my favorite things to work on during the fall include:
Shadow work: For obvious reasons, fall is a great time to access your shadow. I started out using this book, but now I pretty much work on my own.
Ancestor connection rituals: During the fall, it's super easy to connect not only with specific ancestors but with the power of your lineage in general. I just posted an ancestor connection ritual on the Patreon. You can also find plenty of meditations online or make up your own.
Work with underworld/chthonic deities: Whether you want to work with Persephone, Hel, Lilith, Kali, or another chthonic deity (there are so many awesome ones!), fall is a great time to start since they're usually very reception.
This month is all about the harvest in preparation for a quieter, darker time (which we'll begin to feel in October for Samhain).
