This big solar eclipse in Libra is happening this Saturday (October 14th), and I'm going to be totally honest with you: an eclipse is a terrible time to do magic.
Why's that? For starters, the energy during an eclipse is wildly unpredictable. You might find yourself amidst unexpected changes, making it difficult to find stable footing, let alone cast a spell with precision.
And even if you're able to pull off a spell, the results can be... surprising. Believe me, I’ve cast a spell during an eclipse and had it backfire by doing the exact opposite of what I intended.
So, what can you do during an eclipse?
- Journal. Reflect on how the eclipse impacts you by writing. Sometimes, the broader picture is more apparent when you get your thoughts down on paper. Keep in mind that you may not know how the eclipse affects you until later, since eclipses bring big, unconscious changes.
- Do shadow work, specifically relating to the sign of Libra. I talk more about this on the Patreon.
- Spend time alone. Considering the heightened energies, it might be wise to lay low on the 14th. If people around you seem off, remember the eclipse might just be getting to them. It's a good day to not take things personally.
